This edition of "Tee Time" is for those with a humorous side and legal I.D. Made Me's appropriately titled, The Boner Tee, features skletons demonstrating various fun, yet intricate sexual position. Karma Sutra for bones. You have to have a daring pesonality to rock this tee. Let me give you a smidge of advice. If you have casual day at work, this tee will never be appropriate. Never.
Hey, hey, its my birthday! Yep, I have survived 27 years on earth and am more than appreciative. For alot of people out there, they tend to get that dreadful "I'm getting old" feel and attitude as they approach the big "dirty thirty". However, I was raised by mi madre to appreciate every year you get older, because there are many souls who didn't even make to their 30th, 21st, 18th, 16th, or even 1st birthday. Of course, she started humming a different tune when she started driving into her 50s, but she has digressed!
So, with that being said, I am glad to be older, hopefully wiser, and eager for more years to come! As should you on your birthdays!
On a fabulous birthday note. Happy Birthday to two fabulous women who are also turning 27 today:
Warriors in Pink is definitely one of my favorite campaigns for a more than worthy charity, Susan G. Koman/ Race for the Cure. Every year, Ford and Susan G. Koman team up to release a collection of stylish and fashionable Warriors in Pink items. The collection features tees, hoodies, car accessories, and more all featuring the Warriors in Pink logo. Most importantly, 100% of net proceeds go to Komen for the Cure.
My favorite item from last year was this long scarf designed with the Warriors in Pink logo subtly throughout in various shades of pink. I truly loved this scarf and wear it at least once a moth, because the great thing about Warriors in Pink clothing and accessories is that they are not apparent in their advertisement. This years Warriors in Pink is no different, in terms of style. This years scarf is designed to be more of a pashmina style and fringed at the end. Its absolutely beautiful. So beautiful, that it's already sold out.
The tees look great this year! They have a vintage-y feel thanks to the faded graphic and cotton material. Plus, most sizes go all the way up to 3X. Curvy girls love to show support, too! I love the cranberry tee!
Either way, the Warriors in Pink is a fabulous cause and collection.
I'm not gonna front. I really like, not love, but like these brass knuckle oxfords. Chic and classic from the front. Fierce and fabulous in the back. That's just me. What about you? Yay or Nay?
Wednesdays are usually a little hectic for me, because its my first day of the week of having to go back to the office. I work from home on Mondays and Tuesdays, which means Wednesday mornings are filled with hectic moments of getting ready to go to work. This morning was no different. I never seem to decide what I want to wear until I stand in front of my closet with my Smurf blue terry cloth robe on trying to desect the turmoil of color coded fabric that I call my closet.
Today I opted for a hot pink Izod and slate gray wide leg Old Navy pants. Preppy, yet spunky! Trust me. Anyway, I had less than 5 minutes to be out the door when I realized that my rusty orange Amici bag that I adore just did not go with my look. So, I frantically dug around in my crates of purse and bags looking for a simple black bag that would work for such a casual look and day. Nada. The only black somewhat simple bag I have is a Fendi Zucco print. I love it, but its not casual looking enough.
Can you believe that, me, Samida, does not have a simple, yet chic everyday black bag in my collection. I guess for the past year, I have been more focused on buying colorful and unique bags that I have simple forgotten to score an impeccable and good ol' trust everyday black bag, which is a staple in every purse wardrobe.
So, before I purchase anything else, I have to find and buy a new go-to black everyday bag. Here are a few that I have already optioned.
One show that I really got into last year and glad that survived the annual "cancellation curse" was Lipstick Jungle. It was filled with broad story lines, powerful, yet fun female cast, and enough fashion to keep me coming back.
Tonight, Lipstick Jungle returns for its sophmore season, which also means the return of the online mag Bonfire which chracter Nico Reilly is the editor. Fabulous.
Anyway, Lipstick Jungle season premiere is tonight and my DVR is already set!
Just because summer is officially over doesn't mean that scooping and scoring a pair of fly and colorful sunglasses is a no-no. In typical fresh and fly Clawmoney style, these Gazelle sunglasses are high on my "lust-list". The 80s sunglasses staple Gazelle shape/style combined with fun and youthful colors to make them current, yet retro make these a deadly and fabulous collection of shades.
This weekend, singer Solange attended Milan Fashion week wearing an interesting hairstyle mostly thanks to the way she wore Urban Outfitters ribbon wrapped feather headband. Typical Solange, she opted to rock the headbad around her forehead oppose the traditional on the top of her head. Its an iffy look, I will admit.
Layers and rows of chains are a definite wardrobe staple this season. However, that trend doesn't stop at the jewelry department. Chain strapped handbags are popping everywhere and not just at night.
Typically, a bag with a chain strap is mostly suited for evening looks and the bag itself were small in size. Now, designers are attaching chains to larger bags and suitable for day and evening looks.
I must say that I am all over this trend! Here are some examples for you in case you want to join in this fashion chain gang!
As I was watching Monday's episode of Gossip Girl, I made sure to pay as much attention as possible so I sould do really well on my Sugar quizzes. It has become a Tuesday routine for me to stalk around the Sugar networks for The Hills and Gossip Girlquizzes. Serious.
Anyway, in the process of "studying", I was taken back to a place I like to call, IWantThatville when I saw the chain strapped sea green bag that Serena aka Blake Lively was seen dangling from her shoulder. Well, it has been brought to my attention that the bag is by the one and only Rebecca Minkoff. The bag is her clutch in sea green and it is swoon heavy, sweeties! Swoon!
Last night, singer Beyonce Knowles-Carter attended the New Yorkers for Children fall gala at Cipriani wearing the Pigalle wool dress by RM by Roland Mouret. The dress is also available in black and cream, which Jennifer Lopez wore last week to the Marc Jacobs show.
For the upcoming fall season, feathered outerwear is going to be sprinkled into some of the chicest and trendiest wardrobes around. Singers Rihanna, Solange, and Cassie have been spotted rocking feathered vests and jackets in the recent months.
I will admit that I like my fashion feathers in small amounts, mostly on accessories or the bottom trim of fancy dresses. However, I think I wouldn't mind dipping my foot into the feathered outerwear waters. Nothing too "poofy", of course.
Here are a couple of examples for my daring fellow feather fashionistas.
There are some design tactics and styles that I have never been fond of, because of whatever reason. Cutout clothing is one that I have never been able to love. Mostly, because nowhere on my body, should cutout clothing ever be worn. Ever.
However, that same reasoning is not applied to my feet, because I love me some strappy sandals that allow me to show off my almost perfect looking feet. I have to admit, I do have cute feet. Sorry.
I usually like to stick to classic shape shoes, but there is something about these cutout red suede shoes by Jeffrey Campbell that make me swoon with the possibilities of pairing them with a pair of dark rinse skinny jeans. Cutout anything on yours truly. Who would've thought? They have possibility.
Angela Simmons was spotted doing what I wish I was doing, partaking some show and events of New York Fashion week with her sis/business partner Vanessa and "old friend" Bow Wow. The younger of the Simmon sis' wore a Black Halo Cut-Out Jackie O dress and some galdiator style sandals.
The Jackie O dress is one of the most popular dresses of the past year in its various styles, but same fantastic fit. This dress is available in numerous colors and gors for $328 @ The Hip Chick.
When I think of a Betsey Johnson collection, I instantly think of spunky, youthful, vibrant, different with elements on containment, and overall fun. Needless, to say, Betsey Johnson's spring collection has all those elements and then some!
From the colorful bob wigs, pixie make-up, and huge petticoats. The runway kinda of looked like an a musical of dolls came to life and were in the mood to cause a little fashion mayhem thanks to their svengali, Betsey Johnson.
That Marc Jacobs. How dare he make me swoon even harder for him by releasing a collection that has just the right amount of retro, color, prints, solids, and over all function. The collection is colorful thanks to big punches of color combinations and prints. The different textures added variety and fun, but sophistication. Fab.
However, the beautiful and creative genius did not stop at the clothes, because the accessories alone could have held their own runway show!
Continue reading to oggle some of the accessories that were glamming up the spring collection.
The only thing that seemed to be missing on the runway of Diane von Furstenburg was VW van at the end of the runway to carry the models in their 70s/bohemian inspired garb to the nearest beach to hold an impromptu peace rally/bomfire.
The collection was mixed with floral and abstract prints, bold pieces of colors, and chic creams.
This week, designers Charlotte Ronson, Marc Jacobs and Zac Posen will be strutting their interpatations of what spring 2009 fashion will look like to them. I am more than positive that each of those collections will be different, however, there is one thing that each collection will have in common...OnGossamer underwear.
All of these designers will trollop their models wearing their garments and OnGossamer hip-G panties. The hip-G panties are Fashion Week staples thanks to ability to keep their shape and make sure that those diabolical pantylines don't show up! Hey if they are good enough for Marc Jacobs, then you already know they are good enough for moi and you, too!
The hip-G comes in a plethora of styles and colors. Cute or simple. Sexy or classic. Go here to view more pieces by OnGossamer.
Within a week, singer Solange Knowles rocked her Fendi convertible clutch to two different events in two different ways. First, she carried the bag on 'tote' mode last week to an industry event in NYC. Last night, she carried the bag in 'clutch' mode to the 2008 VMAs. Both times she paired it with strappy sandals and a satin-esque mini dress. However, when did she own the bag?
Tracy Reese is known for her feminine collections and vibrant colors and prints. Everytime I see a Tracy Reese's collections, they always make me just love being a woman. Tracy Reese has incredible knack of making dresses that make you feel girly, yet sophisticated. The Spring 2009 collection from Tracy Reese had all that and then some!
Finally, the first batches of spring collections have been revealed via NY Fashion Week, including BCBG Max Azria. BCBG Max Azria always seems to walk the fashionable line of classic, yet trendy and this collection is no different.
You hear that?! That's the sound of heels clacking against the floor, sweat and nerves of designers bubbling up about reviews, hair dryers, flat and curling irons prepping tresses, and brushes spackling various colors against breathing mannequins faces. Those are just some of the sounds that lets you know New York fashion week has charged up on us! Last night, I made a run to the grocery store to stock my cabinets with enough caffeinated goodness to get me up and through this week. I'm good!
So, stayed glued to Stained Couture to get a glimpse of spring fashions!
You have to love a bag that is classic in shape and crafted with beautiful fabrics. Nest handbags provides all that in gorgeous bags of various shapes. My personal favorite is the Pleated Frame Bag in Black Ultrasuede and Glen Plaid. Actually, I love all the pleated frame bags. I love the classic shape and the different textures and fabrics.
Another bag that I love by Nest is the Aspen Hobo Handbag in Moss in their Eco collection. The wood hardware combined with soft green prints adds a folksy, bohemian, yet chic look. It would look great with a fabulous fall cream look. I have a cream dress and tall nubuck boots that I would love to pair with this bag with! Fall fab!

I just love intricate, yet chic jewelry. Not to mention my almost ridiculous obsession with Marc Jacobs! So, this metal Tenacious T ring from Marc by Marc Jacobs is calling me in many languages. The original Tenacious T rings are made of resin are hot, but I prefer the coolness of the metal rings. The gold with silver accents in particular. Fab and they just scooted to the top of my birthday wish list! September 26 can't come quick enough!
Yesterday, 'It" Girl, Rihanna was in NYC to catch up on some business and of course shopping. She went for a chic look of simple black tank, "worldy" LV skirt, classic black Louboutins, and a medium bag from Gucci's 'Babouska' collection. Very folksy, by the way!
The bag is available in four different prints and each with four hefty price tags. The style that Rihanna is toting is retailed for $4,795. Much be nice.
On September 8th, Agent Provocateur is releasing their latest sultry and risque collection, appropriately titled The Season of the Witch. The release will also coincide with a brand spanking new Agent Provocateur website.

Been stabbed in the back recently? Well, Dealers of the Purple Cloth has a tee for you! The Still Standing tee is a slightly cropped tee that features numerous graphics of various knives jammed in the back with the appropriate phrase "still standing" on the front. Damn right!
