Forget about coffee....

the best way to wake-up to a work day is being able to go shopping for some serious sales!

Yes, ladies, I have been here at work for less than an hour and I am sooo exhausted, because I had to fend for  myself to grab a new laptop from somebody's mother who was damn near foaming at the mouth as I ran to the checkout with the coveted laptop. I don't know what it is about scoring a serious must-want/need item that can turn you into rubber as people toss names at you and they just bounce off. Maybe, its because you are 100% sure that they are a true hater at that moment and mad that you have something they want. ha. It feels good!

Anyway, I was able to run into Macy's this morning on my way to work (I have a great route to work!) and  grab and go a pair of these Nine West boots that I have been eyeing for more than a minute. They were originally marked at $189 and they were on sale for $99! However, I had $20 left on a giftcard and when the clerk ran my info, I had a $50 store credit still active. So, I got my new winter boots for $30!!! **singing Toni Tony Tone's It Feels Good** I am so wearing these boots with damn near everytrhing. From jeans to dresses. From bohemian to modern. Watch me work 'em out!

My shopping day is not over. I am cutting out of work at 2:30 to try and grab a couple of more last minute deals. Wish ya girl luck as I am wishing you all! Stay hydrated!

Marie Chavez spring 2009 collection

Some of you already know how I love jewelry and you should also know how fabulous jewelry makes me squeal with delight! Well, when I got a peek at Marie Chavez' spring 2009 collection, I was instantly  in love with all the pieces, which is rare for me.

Marie Chavez specializes in uniquely crafted jewelry that features interesting textures, gems, and design.

The 2009 collection consists of delicate pieces with ethnic and edgy accents such as African opals and bronze spikes. Also, the gold pieces are simple, yet unique such as the chunky gold twist necklace and matching bracelet( I so want this bracelet!)

Although this is the spring 2009 collection, you can't deny that all of these pieces would make your fav LBD look gorgeous this holiday season. These Black Onyx Chandelier put me in a trance for a good 5 minutes.

Visit Marie Chavez' online store to take a look at other affordable and fabulous pieces that you should definitely consider adding to your jewelry wardrobe.

Swooning for Scarves...Louis loving Rihanna

Rihanna loves her accessories. From lust worthy 'it' bags to piles and piles of bangles and bracelets on one arm, homegirl loves her accessories. Her go-to accessories in the colder climates include a hot pair of oversize shades and a scarf, but not just any scarf...a Louis Vuitton scarf. From a big brown one from the Damier collection to warm and snuggly gray bandana denim, they are all lovely, fab, and just another accessory that Rihanna has that makes me instantly filled with jealously. Damn. her.

Yay or Nay....Louboutin Fringe Peep Toe Boots

I love Christian Louboutin, as most of you do as well. I was swooning hard core over his Forever Tina Fringe Suede boots. Have you the purple ones? Hot.

However, his latest concoction that resembles the fun and sexy boot that is Forever Tina has me on the ropes. The Christian Louboutin Peep-Toe Fringe Boots(so many elements) are the pump version of the fringe boot...I assume. Truthfully, the shoe looks like something someone might wear if they were dressing up as a sexy lion for Halloween, which has come and gone. How about you? Too much or too fierce? High fashion or low level? yay or Nay?

**Na Sky x MadeMe Tees

Dope womens streetwear label MadeMe teamed up with singer Natalie of Nina Sky to release some graffiti styled tees.

MadeMe designer Erin and Natalie collaborated to introduce the MadeMe '08 Holiday collection. Apparently, Natalie is a is known graffiti artist. So, its not a surprise that she would decide to use a graffiti font for her tee.

The tee is available in three different colorway: Black, white, and purple. I would love a white one! I'm a fiend for a fresh white tee!

Also, Nina Sky is wrapping up their new album The Musical, which I hear is going to pretty dope. The album is slated to drop some time soon and will feature production by Cool & Dre, Ryan Leslie, and Salaam Remi.

Nugaard...revisited

Nugaard's Leather and Brass Necklace. I love it so! The combination of thin purple leather straps and large gold chains has lulled me to sleep on more than one occasion this past week. Its edgy, chic, and just down right gorgeous! You can dress up with to it or dress down with it. As I write this post, its making it hard for me to keep my eyes from staring at it with googly eyes.

As hard as it was, I was able to pull my eyes away from staring at the Leather and Brass necklace long enough to realize that the rest of the items from Nugaard that I hadn't seen before were equally swoonable! The Bangle in chain necklace? Hot. I'm not really a lover of 2-fer items, but when both items in the 2-fer look hot separately as they do together, than I usually jump on board. Simple elegance at its best.

Oh, Nugaard! You sure do know how to make a girl fill up her wish list!

Outerwear of the Day...Ruffled Leather Jacket

Everyone needs a nice little black leather jacket. They pull together the simpliest of looks. However, sometimes a black leather jacket with some adorable ruffles on the front helps just as well. This ruffled leather jacket from Old Navy is just too cute to ignore. It's definitely worthy of being a wardrobe staple. Plus, this week only, Old Navy has 50% off most of their outerwear, including this little leathery black gem for $99! What a steal!

Hot Legs!

Yeah, I know, I have basically disappeared this week due to a desk and inbox full of work, doing some early shopping, not to mention spending the past two days pop-locking with joy over the Obama win!

However, I am starting to chill, catch-up, and calm down some. One way I have been able to relax is befriending any and everything soft and comfy, like these dip dye socks by Free People. I have the grey combo pair and I am so in love with them. They look absolutely hot with tall black boots...flat or high! I am defintely on the verge of buying the other color combo of magenta. Next selection, though, is are the honeycomb banded socks in red. Ugh, they look so cute! I need them. As should you!
