This time of year, single or strapped to someone, my closet and I are in full romantic mode due to the abundance of billowy fabrics, uber feminine details of satin and lace, and the fact that flowers bloomed on almost everything from accessories to unmentionables.

This weekend between all the collegiate BBall, stress of my dying laptop, and trying to figure out my new cell phone, I was able to catch a wind and some time to screen my advance copy of the hugely award nominated and winner Atonement. I actually saw the movie in the theatre and was instantly wrapped up in the true love story. However, this weekend, I was all about the ambience and the fashion elements that helped show the romantic theme of the movie and this season.

Atonement follows the story of a young girl that catches her sister in a passionate embrace with a childhood friend and her jealousy drives her to tell a lie that will irrevocably change the course of all their lives forever. Atonement features drama, betrayal, affair, and romance...all that good movie making stuff!

All the clothing in Atonement were soft and feminine and help captivate the love story. Watching Atonement made me go straight in to dress shopping mode, preferably soft, flower print, and lacey dresses.

The hair and make-up in Atonement were soft curls and pinks. Finish the springy looks of floral prints and girly detail with minimal make-up of rosy pink lips and cheeks and soft, scupltered curls. The perfect spring look.
